This is the main event and is the biggest celebration of women’s achievements there is on Merseyside. With a packed room of over 400 people which can be extremely hard to control was it not for our Commere in Chief, Pauline Daniels, her rapier like wit and passion for the Finalists moves the event along with an atmosphere like no other in the diary of Liverpool. Pauline holds the room in the palm of her hand as she leads us though all of the Finalists triumphs, lows and highs with such warmth and understanding. All Finalists have made a huge contribution to the economic the City Region and the collective impact of all the Finalists cannot be under estimated.

Each of the Finalists journeys are read to the audience and it is apparent what they have achieved and the impact they have had in their sector. There is great excitement when the event reaches a crescendo when the overall “Woman of the Year” is announced. This is determined by public votes which have been counted and verified and the winner should be so very proud as this is a huge achievement and is considered one of the most prestigious awards to win on Merseyside.
